Birth control DOES NOT cause yeast infections. You have a yeast infection just because you have a yeast infection. Don't go looking for causes.

Hi! I'm aware that birth control pills can cause yeast infections as a side effect. Also, do you happen to be using an antibiotic of any sort? This could also cause yeast infections. I agree that you should ask your doctor for the right decision for changing birth control. I don't know why the folks who previously answered your question would tell you that it is not a side effect (and in such a way to belittle you), but here are some links to a few legitimate websites that you can refer to:
1. http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/vaginal-yeast-infections.cfm
2. http://www.fwhc.org/health/yeast.htm
3. http://www.epigee.org/guide/yeast.html
I hope this helps and good luck!
